This year, BAY-PRIDE will be helping to raise funds for The Gulf Coast Sexual Assault Program. Sexual violence can happen to anyone — regardless of gender, race, age, socio-economic status, or religion. Victims of sexual assault include infants, the elderly, people of color, lesbians/gays, disabled individuals, women, men, and children. It is estimated that as many one in four children will be sexually assaulted by the age of 18. Sexual Assault does not discriminate, and neither will we in our efforts to prevent sexual abuse and tend to victims of this awful crime.
Together, we can end stigma and create spaces filled with acceptance and pride.
